“I got to know Shamieka fourteen years ago when she volunteered to become a mentor at Partners for Youth. She quickly revealed a lot about herself when she asked to be matched with a challenging student. Shamieka is drawn toward difficult situations many others run from. Shamieka brought that same kind of heart and tenacity to her work as a District Court Judge as our community struggled to reform our criminal justice system. I believe that she will continue to bring that same heart to her work as a Superior Court Judge. Let’s keep her on the bench!”
